About this map

This map shows amateur radio repeaters across the United States — callsign, downlink and uplink frequency, offset, tone, and location for each one. Pan and zoom to the area you care about; repeaters load automatically for the visible area. Numbers on clustered markers tell you how many repeaters are grouped there.

How to use

Search accepts a city or place name, a callsign (for example W1AW), a Maidenhead grid square (for example EM63), or a "latitude, longitude" pair. Use Band and Tone to narrow the list, Operational only to hide listings flagged non-operational, and Coverage circles to see the theoretical 25-mile (40 km) mobile range. Tap 📍 Near me to centre on your phone’s GPS, or ⛶ Fullscreen for a full-screen map — the site navigation stays one tap away.

Data sources & accuracy

United States repeater data: ard-repeaterlist (CC0, community-maintained). Coverage circles are theoretical line-of-sight ranges for illustration only — real coverage depends on terrain, antenna height and conditions. Repeater data is updated periodically; if you find an error, please report it on the Contact page. This rebuilt map currently covers US repeaters only; the POTA/SOTA and other layers from the previous map page are not included yet.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need to zoom in to see repeaters?

There are over 9,000 repeaters in the database. Loading them all at once would be slow, so the map fetches only what is on screen once you zoom in close enough — tap a city in the search box to jump straight there.

What do the coloured dots mean?

Blue dots are 2m repeaters, orange are 70cm, green are 1.25m. Tap any dot for the callsign, frequencies, offset, tone and location.

Can I search for a specific repeater by callsign?

Yes — type the callsign (for example W1AW) into the search box. Matches near the current map centre are listed; tap one to fly to it and open its details.

Does this map work outside the United States?

Not yet — the rebuilt map currently serves the US repeater database. Additional regions will come later; until then the Repeater Lookup tool and the other map layers are not available.
