Welcome to the amateur radio technical materials, bilingual manuals, and related digital content compiled, translated, and published by BG7BAG (collectively referred to as the “Service,” “this site,” or “these materials”). By accessing, downloading, or using any content provided by the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms of this Terms of Service.

1.2 Intellectual Property and License Scope

Manufacturer and third-party copyrights:

  • FCC / NCVEC question pools: Copyright in the original FCC Amateur Radio Question Pool questions belongs to NCVEC (National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators) and the original rights holders.
  • CRAC question bank: Copyright in the original China Amateur Radio Operation Capability Verification question bank (2025 edition) belongs to CRAC (Chinese Radio Association Amateur Radio Branch) and the original rights holders; the English translation and bilingual layout were compiled by BG7BAG.
  • Manufacturer materials: Trademarks, product overviews, technical specifications, menu structures, and original English manual texts of brands cited herein, such as Uniden® and YAESU® (Yaesu Musen Co., Ltd., Japan), are the sole property of their respective trademark owners and manufacturers.
  • Third-party app guides: WeChat, Alipay, Taobao, and other app names, logos, and interface descriptions belong to their respective owners (Tencent, Ant Group, Alibaba, etc.). This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.

Derivative and compilation copyright:

The translations, restructured chapter layouts, page designs, and editorial content prepared by BG7BAG are the property of BG7BAG (© BG7BAG. All rights reserved), to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the underlying rights of original rights holders.

License for users (personal, non-commercial use):

  • These materials are provided for personal study, technical research, exam preparation, and educational exchange by amateur radio enthusiasts and visitors to China.

1.3 User Conduct and Jurisdictional Compliance

Licensed and compliant operation: When using amateur radio equipment or configuring devices with reference to these materials, you must comply with the radio regulations of your country or region, including but not limited to:

  • Mainland China: Radio Regulations of the People’s Republic of China and Measures for the Administration of Amateur Radio Stations. Transmitting without a Radio Station License or outside approved bands/power levels is prohibited.
  • Hong Kong, China: Telecommunications Ordinance and related amateur station licensing requirements of the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA).
  • Malaysia: Regulations of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), including Class Assignments.
  • United States and other regions: FCC Part 97 rules or the requirements of the competent national radio regulator.
  • Japan: Radio Law administered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), JARD/JARL requirements, and Technical Conformity Mark (Giteki) restrictions.
  • Europe (EU and UK): CEPT rules, Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU), and requirements of national regulators (e.g., UK Ofcom, Germany’s BNetzA).

Independence of qualifications: An FCC license or frequency privileges granted by another jurisdiction do not automatically authorize unlicensed transmission in a different jurisdiction.

Legal boundaries: When using scanning receivers or radio equipment, comply with the laws of your jurisdiction. Do not use such equipment to receive, record, decrypt, or disseminate legally protected private communications or content on restricted frequency bands.

1.4 Third-Party Sponsorship and Payment Notice (Ko-fi)

Voluntary tips (“Tip”/”Coffee”) made to BG7BAG via third-party platforms such as Ko-fi constitute gratuitous support for educational and translation work. They do not create a buyer–seller contractual relationship, nor do they grant sponsors any commercial license to third-party copyrighted content.

Clicking a sponsorship link or making a donation will redirect you to Ko-fi, a third-party platform. Payment credentials and personal data processing during sponsorship are governed directly by Ko-fi’s Privacy Policy; this site does not receive or store your payment credentials.

1.5 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from the services, materials, or these terms shall first be resolved through good-faith friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, the parties will seek resolution through applicable legal processes. Governing law and jurisdiction have not yet been formally determined. This site is operated by an individual (BG7BAG) without a registered company entity. Jurisdiction will be determined when a formal entity is established.

1.6 Amendments

BG7BAG reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Amended terms take effect upon publication; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

2.1 Independence and Non-Affiliation

This website and its published content are unofficial technical study reference materials.

BG7BAG has no official affiliation, sponsorship, agency, or endorsement relationship with Uniden Holdings Corporation, YAESU MUSEN CO., LTD., ARRL, NCVEC, FCC, CRAC, Tencent (WeChat), Ant Group (Alipay), Alibaba (Taobao), or any other official body, equipment manufacturer, app developer, or authorized reseller. All brands and trademarks mentioned are used solely for product identification and technical description.

This site is independently operated. No content on this site should be interpreted as official guidance from any regulator, manufacturer, or app developer.

After verification, the site will promptly remove or disable access to the relevant content if the complaint is valid.

  • Analytics cookies: This site uses Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) for anonymized traffic statistics. These help understand which pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.

4. Privacy Policy

4.1 Data Collection

This website follows the principle of data minimization and avoids collecting personally identifiable information (PII) where possible:

  • Access logs: Hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records basic network logs (IP addresses, browser types, request times) for security, DDoS mitigation, and system stability. The server is located in the United States. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors.
  • Voluntarily submitted data: If you email contact@bg7bag.com or contact the editor via Ko-fi, that interaction is initiated by you and used solely to respond to your inquiry.
  • Practice-exam local data: The FCC/CRAC practice exam pages are client-side applications requiring no registration or login. Practice records are stored only in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) and are never uploaded to the server. Clearing your browser data removes them.
  • Radio contact data: Callsigns, QSO logs, and QSL card notes on this site are public technical exchange information within the amateur radio community.

4.2 Third-Party Services

  • Embedded content: Pages may embed content from third-party platforms (videos, maps, code snippets). When you access embedded content, the third-party provider may process your data according to its own privacy policy.
  • Sponsorship and payments: Donations are processed directly by third-party platforms (e.g., Ko-fi). This site does not receive or store your credit card information or payment credentials.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics collects anonymized usage statistics. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details on what Google collects.

4.3 Regional Privacy Notes

This site serves visitors from many countries. Privacy practices are described below by region.
