Other Useful Functions
本章要点：本章汇集 FTX-1 日常使用频率很高、但不属于某一特定操作模式的一组功能：屏幕截图、microSD 卡信息显示、HOME 一键信道、屏幕保护、开机呼号显示、固件升级，以及 Band Stack、TOT、阿拉斯加紧急频率与 microSD 卡的数据保存/读取。特别注意：microSD 卡的"数据保存/读取"与"固件升级"是两套完全不同的操作，本章分开叙述。

33.1 屏幕截图Screen Capture

The display on the TFT screen may be saved on the microSD card. When performing screen capture, a commercially available microSD card is necessary.

  1. Turn OFF the transceiver.
  2. Insert the microSD card into the SD card slot, with the contact face on the front, until a click sound is heard.
  3. Display the screen that is to be saved.
  4. Hold down the [S-DX] key until "SCREEN SHOT" appears on the screen.

Screen data is saved to the microSD card. Data saved on the microSD card can be displayed on a personal computer or similar viewer.

TFT 屏幕上的显示内容可保存到 microSD 卡上。进行屏幕截图需要一张市售 microSD 卡。

  1. 关闭收发信机电源。
  2. 将 microSD 卡插入 SD 卡插槽，触点面朝正面，直到听到"咔嗒"一声。

33.2 显示 microSD 卡信息Displaying the SD Card Information

The memory free space of the microSD card may be checked:

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Select [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD].
  3. Touch "DONE" of the [INFORMATIONS] item. The capacity and free space of the microSD card are displayed.
  4. Touch [BACK] to return to the "EXTENSION SETTING" menu screen.
  5. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

可查看 microSD 卡的剩余存储空间：

  1. 按住 [FUNC] 旋钮。

33.3 HOME 信道存储操作Memory Operation on "HOME" Channel Memories

Five special one-touch "HOME" channels are available, for special frequencies you use often. Special "Home" channels are available for HF (any frequency between 1.8 and 29.7 MHz), 50 MHz, AIR band, 144 MHz, and 430 MHz.

本机提供 5 个特殊的一键 "HOME" 信道，用于存放你经常使用的特定频率。HF（1.8 ~ 29.7 MHz 之间的任意频率）、50 MHz、航空波段、144 MHz 和 430 MHz 各有一个 HOME 信道。

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Touch [HOME], or rotate the [FUNC] knob to select [HOME] and then press the [FUNC] knob.

The home channel frequency will be shown in the display. In the default setting, the Home channel frequencies of each band are set as follows:

修改 HOME 信道频率Changing the Frequency of the Home Channel

The default frequency setting of the home channel when shipped from the factory can be changed.

  1. Set the desired frequency.
  2. Press and hold the [V/M] key. The memory channel list will be displayed.
  3. Rotate the [FUNC] knob to select "HOME".
  4. Press and hold the [V/M] key to store the frequency and other data into the HOME channel.
  5. Touch [BACK]; the memory is stored and the screen returns to normal.

出厂时的 HOME 信道默认频率可以更改。

  1. 设定好想要的频率。
  2. 按住 [V/M] 键，屏幕显示存储信道列表。
  3. 旋转 [FUNC] 旋钮，选择 "HOME"。

技术提示 / TIP HOME 信道与 [V/M] 键短按/长按的差别容易记混：短按 [V/M] 是在 VFO 与存储模式之间切换，长按 [V/M] 才是调出存储信道列表、进而选中 "HOME"。改 HOME 频率时"先设频率、再长按 [V/M] 选 HOME、再长按 [V/M] 存入"，两次长按缺一不可——只做一次长按只会出现列表，不会写入。改完建议用 [HOME] 调出核对一次。 It is easy to confuse the short and long presses of [V/M]: a short press toggles between VFO and Memory mode, while a long press brings up the memory channel list from which you select "HOME". To change a Home channel frequency you must long-press twice — once to open the list and select HOME, and once more to store. A single long press only opens the list and writes nothing. Recall [HOME] afterwards to verify.

33.4 屏幕保护Screen Saver

A screen saver, to prevent burning of the TFT screen, will operate after a set time if no transceiver function is operated.

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Touch [DISPLAY SETTING], or rotate the [FUNC] knob to select [DISPLAY SETTING] and then press the [FUNC] knob.
  3. Touch [SCREEN SAVER] / [SCREEN SAVER(BAT)], or rotate the [FUNC] knob to select it and then press the [FUNC] knob.
  4. Rotate the [FUNC] knob, or touch "<" or ">" on either side of the value, to select the time until the screen saver is employed.
  5. Press the [FUNC] knob, or wait for about 3 seconds, to save the setting.
  6. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

Set to [SCREEN SAVER(BAT)] when using the SBR-52LI for operation.

若在设定时间内未操作收发信机的任何功能，屏幕保护将启动，以防止 TFT 屏幕灼屏。

  1. 按住 [FUNC] 旋钮。

33.5 输入呼号Inputting the Call Sign

Registered call signs, names, and characters can be displayed on the opening screen when the power is turned ON.

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Touch [DISPLAY SETTING], or rotate the [FUNC] knob to select [DISPLAY SETTING] and then press the [FUNC] knob.
  3. Touch [MY CALL], or rotate the [FUNC] knob to select [MY CALL] and then press the [FUNC] knob.
  4. Touch a character key. The touched character will be displayed at the top of the screen. Enter each character of your call sign. Up to 10 characters (letters, numbers, and symbols) can be entered.
  5. Touch [ENT] to save the new setting and exit to the "DISPLAY SETTING" menu screen.
  6. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

已注册的呼号、名称和字符可在开机时的开机画面上显示。

  1. 按住 [FUNC] 旋钮。

33.6 固件升级Updating the Transceiver Firmware

When updated firmware is available, the transceiver can be updated by connecting it to a personal computer. Download the latest version of the firmware and the firmware installation manual from the YAESU website.

Menu item [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD] → [FIRMWARE UPDATE] updates the firmware of the FTX-1: when a new firmware update is available, go to the YAESU website to download the programming data and update the FTX-1 firmware.

The current software version may be checked with [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SOFT VERSION].

当有新版本固件发布时，可将收发信机连接到个人电脑进行升级。请从 YAESU 网站下载最新版本的固件及固件安装手册。

菜单项 [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD] → [FIRMWARE UPDATE] 用于升级 FTX-1 的固件：当有新固件发布时，到 YAESU 网站下载编程数据并更新 FTX-1 固件。

当前软件版本可通过 [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SOFT VERSION] 查看。

避坑指南 / PITFALL 固件升级与"把存储/菜单数据存到 microSD 卡"完全是两件事：升级用的是从 YAESU 网站下载的固件编程数据，写入的是机器固件；[MEM LIST SAVE] / [MENU SAVE] 保存的是你自己的信道和菜单配置。升级前请先把 MEM LIST 与 MENU 各存一份到 microSD 卡并另备份到电脑——部分版本升级会重置菜单项。升级过程中严禁断电或拔出 microSD 卡；若使用电脑升级，也不要在写入过程中拔 USB 线。升级完成后到 [SOFT VERSION] 核对版本号，并用 [HOME] 或几个存储信道抽查配置是否还在。 A firmware update is not the same thing as saving memory/menu data to the microSD card: the update uses programming data downloaded from the YAESU website and rewrites the radio's firmware, while [MEM LIST SAVE] / [MENU SAVE] store your own channel and menu configuration. Before updating, save both MEM LIST and MENU to the microSD card and copy them to a computer as well — some updates reset menu items. Never remove power or pull the microSD card during the update; if updating from a computer, do not unplug the USB cable while writing. Afterwards, check the version under [SOFT VERSION] and spot-check your configuration with [HOME] and a few memory channels.

33.7 Band Stack 操作Band Stack Operation

The FTX-1 employs a triple band-stack VFO selection technique that permits storing up to three favorite frequencies and modes onto each band VFO register.

A typical setup, for the 14 MHz band, might be arranged like this:

  1. Program 14.0250 MHz, CW-U Mode, then press and hold the [MAG] key, then touch [14].
  2. Program 14.0800 MHz, RTTY-L Mode, then press and hold the [MAG] key, then touch [14].
  3. Program 14.1950 MHz, USB Mode, then press and hold the [MAG] key, then touch [14].

With this configuration, successively pressing and holding the [MAG] key and then touching [14] will step sequentially through the three Band Stack VFOs.

FTX-1 采用三重 band-stack（波段堆栈）VFO 选择方式，允许在每个波段 VFO 寄存器中存储最多三组常用频率及模式。

以 14 MHz 波段为例，典型设置如下：

  1. 设定 14.0250 MHz、CW-U 模式，然后按住 [MAG] 键，再触摸 [14]。
  2. 设定 14.0800 MHz、RTTY-L 模式，然后按住 [MAG] 键，再触摸 [14]。
  3. 设定 14.1950 MHz、USB 模式，然后按住 [MAG] 键，再触摸 [14]。

按此设置后，每次按住 [MAG] 键再触摸 [14]，就会在三个 Band Stack VFO 之间依次循环切换。

The Band Stack function is turned ON/OFF with menu item [OPERATION SETTING] → [BAND/SCAN] → [BAND STACK] (OFF / ON).

Band Stack 功能的开启/关闭由菜单项 [OPERATION SETTING] → [BAND/SCAN] → [BAND STACK]（OFF / ON）控制。

33.8 发射限时 TOTTOT (Time Out Timer)

The "Time-Out Timer" (TOT) shuts the transmitter OFF after continuously transmitting for the programmed time.

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Select [OPERATION SETTING] → [GENERAL] → [TX TIME OUT TIMER].
  3. Rotate the [FUNC] knob, or touch "<" or ">" on either side of the value, to select the TOT countdown time (1 - 30 min or OFF).
  4. Press the [FUNC] knob, or wait for about 3 seconds, to save the setting.
  5. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

"发射限时器"（TOT）会在连续发射达到设定时间后关闭发射。

  1. 按住 [FUNC] 旋钮。
  2. 选择 [OPERATION SETTING] → [GENERAL] → [TX TIME OUT TIMER]。

注意 / NOTE TOT 对所有发射方式都生效，包括 VOX 声控发射与数据模式发射。做 FT8/RTTY 等长时间占空比发射、或使用 VOX 时，若被 TOT 切断，应先检查该项设置是否设得过短，再考虑设为 OFF；但在无人值守或中继环境下，建议保留 TOT 作为保护。 TOT applies to every transmit path, including VOX and data-mode transmission. If FT8/RTTY or VOX operation is cut off by TOT, check whether the timer is set too short before setting it to OFF. Keep TOT enabled as a safeguard in unattended or repeater operation.

33.9 阿拉斯加紧急频率 5167.5 kHzOperation on Alaska Emergency Frequency: 5167.5 kHz

Section 97.401(d) of the regulations governing amateur radio in the United States permit emergency Amateur communications on the spot frequency of 5167.5 kHz by stations in (or within 92.6 km of) the state of Alaska. This frequency is only to be used when the immediate safety of human life and/or property are threatened, and is never to be used for routine communications.

The FTX-1 is capable of transmitting and receiving on 5167.5 kHz under such emergency conditions. Use the Setting Menu to activate the Alaska Emergency Frequency feature:

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Select [OPERATION SETTING] → [TX GNRL] → [EMERGENCY FREQ TX].
  3. Rotate the [FUNC] knob, or touch "<" or ">" on either side of the value, to select "ON".
  4. Press the [FUNC] knob, or wait for about 3 seconds, to save the setting.
  5. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

Emergency communication on this spot frequency is now possible.

  1. Press the [V/M] key, as necessary, to enter the Memory mode.
  2. Rotate the MAIN dial (MAIN-side) / SUB DIAL (SUB-side) knob to select the emergency channel ("EMG"), which is found after the channel "5-15".

美国业余无线电法规第 97.401(d) 条允许位于阿拉斯加州内（或距该州 92.6 km 以内）的电台在 5167.5 kHz 这个点频上进行应急业余通信。该频率仅在人身安全和/或财产受到直接威胁时使用，绝不用于日常通信。

  2. 旋转 MAIN 旋钮（MAIN 侧）/ SUB DIAL 旋钮（SUB 侧），选择紧急信道 "EMG"，它位于信道 "5-15" 之后。
避坑指南 / PITFALL 5167.5 kHz 不是"又一个可通联频点"：只有在阿拉斯加州内或其 92.6 km 范围内、且人身或财产正受到直接威胁时才可使用，日常通联一律禁止。启用 [EMERGENCY FREQ TX] 只是打开了发射许可，频率本身由 "EMG" 紧急信道提供——必须按 [V/M] 进入存储模式后，在 "5-15" 信道之后旋到 "EMG"，而不是在 VFO 上手输 5167.5。非紧急场合请把该项保持为 OFF，避免误触。 5167.5 kHz is not "just another calling frequency": it may be used only by stations in, or within 92.6 km of, Alaska when human life or property is in immediate danger. Routine communication is prohibited. Turning on [EMERGENCY FREQ TX] only enables transmission; the frequency itself comes from the "EMG" emergency channel, which you reach by pressing [V/M] to enter Memory mode and rotating past channel "5-15" — not by typing 5167.5 into the VFO. Keep the item OFF outside genuine emergencies to avoid accidental transmission.

33.10 microSD 卡的使用Using the microSD Card

可用卡型与注意事项Usable Cards and Precautions

YAESU has tested with the 2GB microSD card, and 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB microSDHC cards; most can be used in this radio. Please format (initialize) the microSD card used for the first time on this unit with this transceiver.

  • The microSD or microSDHC cards are not provided with the product.
  • Not all microSD and microSDHC cards sold commercially are guaranteed to work with this product.
  • Do not touch the contacts of the microSD card with your hands.
  • microSD cards formatted on other devices may not properly save information when used with this transceiver. Format microSD cards again with this transceiver when using memory cards formatted with another device.
  • Do not remove the microSD card or turn the transceiver OFF while saving data to the microSD card is in progress.
  • When a single microSD card is used for a long period of time, writing and deletion of data may become disabled. Use a new microSD card when data can no longer be written or erased.
  • Note that Yaesu shall not be liable for any damages suffered as a result of data loss or corruption in use of the microSD card.

YAESU 已用 2GB microSD 卡以及 4GB、8GB、16GB、32GB microSDHC 卡做过测试，大多数可用于本机。首次在本机使用的 microSD 卡，请务必用本收发信机进行格式化（初始化）。

  • microSD / microSDHC 卡不随机提供。
  • 并非所有市售 microSD 与 microSDHC 卡都保证能与本产品配合使用。
  • 请勿用手触摸 microSD 卡的触点。
  • 在其他设备上格式化过的 microSD 卡，在本收发信机上可能无法正确保存信息；使用在其他设备上格式化过的卡时，请用本收发信机重新格式化。

Installing:

  1. Turn OFF the transceiver.
  2. Insert the microSD card into the SD card slot, with the contact face on the front, until a click sound is heard.

To prevent the microSD card from popping out, insert and remove the microSD card firmly.

Removing:

  1. Turn OFF the transceiver.
  2. Push in on the microSD card. A click sound will be heard and the microSD card will be pushed outward.

安装：

  1. 关闭收发信机电源。
  2. 将 microSD 卡插入 SD 卡插槽，触点面朝正面，直到听到"咔嗒"一声。

When using a new microSD card, format it according to the following procedure. Formatting a microSD card erases all data saved on it. Before formatting, be sure to check the data previously saved on it.

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Select [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD].
  3. Touch "DONE" on the "FORMAT" item. The format confirmation screen will be displayed.
  4. Touch "OK"; the SD card will be initialized. Touch "CANCEL" to cancel the initialization.
  5. "FORMAT COMPLETED" will be displayed when initialization is completed.
  6. Touch the screen to end formatting.
  7. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

使用新的 microSD 卡时，请按下列步骤格式化。格式化 microSD 卡会清除卡上保存的全部数据，格式化前务必确认卡上原有的数据。

  1. 按住 [FUNC] 旋钮。
  2. 选择 [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD]。

33.11 把存储与设置菜单数据保存到 microSD 卡Saving Memory Data and Setting Menu Data

The Memory Channel data and the Setting Menu data can be saved to the microSD card:

  1. Press and hold the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Select [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD].
  3. Touch "DONE" for the data item to be saved: "MEM LIST SAVE" (memory data) or "MENU SAVE" (setting menu data).
  4. To save the file with a new name, touch "NEW". To overwrite previously saved data, touch the file name, and touch "OK" when the overwrite confirmation screen appears. Touch "CANCEL" to cancel overwrite save.
  5. Enter the file name (maximum 15 characters) on the file name input screen. If the file name is not to be changed, proceed to step 6 as it is.
  6. Touch "ENT" to start saving data, or touch "BACK" to cancel the name input.
  7. "FILE SAVED" is displayed when data saving is completed.
  8. Touch the screen to end saving data.
  9. Press the [BACK] key several times to return to normal operation.

存储信道数据与设置菜单数据可保存到 microSD 卡：

  1. 按住 [FUNC] 旋钮。
  2. 选择 [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD]。
  3. 触摸要保存的数据项的 "DONE"："MEM LIST SAVE"（存储数据）或 "MENU SAVE"（设置菜单数据）。

  5. 在文件名输入画面输入文件名（最多 15 个字符）。若不需更改文件名，直接进入第 6 步。

  7. 数据保存完成后显示 "FILE SAVED"。
  8. 触摸屏幕结束数据保存。
  9. 多次按 [BACK] 键返回正常工作状态。

33.12 从 microSD 卡读取存储与设置菜单数据Reading Memory and Set Menu Data

The Memory and Setting Menu data saved on the microSD card may be read to the transceiver.

  1. Press the [FUNC] knob.
  2. Select [EXTENSION SETTING] → [SD CARD].
  3. Touch "DONE" of the data item to be read: "MEM LIST LOAD" (reading memory data) or "MENU LOAD" (loading setting menu data).
  4. Touch the file name to be loaded. Touch "BACK" to cancel reading data.
  5. When the overwrite confirmation screen appears, touch "OK".
  6. "FILE LOADED" is displayed when the data reading is completed.
  7. Touch the TFT screen to finish loading the data.
  8. Once the power is turned OFF, the power is turned ON automatically afterwards.

With some OEM microSD cards, the screen may not be displayed even when the power is turned ON. If the screen does not appear, remove the microSD card and the screen will appear.

The microSD card holds the following folders: Capture, FTX-1, MemList, Menu, PlayList and QSOLog. Screen captures are stored in the "Capture" folder.

If the time stamp of a saved file is not correct, adjust the date and time with [EXTENSION SETTING] → [DATE & TIME] (DAY / MONTH / YEAR, HOUR / MINUTE).

When restoring, load the setting menu first (the radio restarts automatically), then load the memory channels after the restart — reversing the order may cause the freshly loaded channels to be overwritten by the pre-restart state. File names are limited to 15 characters, so use a recognizable scheme such as "date_location".
